Stephanie and Neil enjoy cooking for their guests, whether that be something from the breakfast menu to get you off to a great day of activities, an evening catchup over selected wines and canapés, or a scrumptious evening meal. Stephanie enjoys the fusion of Asian and western cuisines to create something a little special for guests. Neil draws on his chef's skills to ensure your meal is created to delight your taste buds.

Cuisine and Wine

Enjoy a sumptuous gourmet breakfast as the sun streams in over Mount Tauhare watching the changing colours of Lake Taupo and the mountains.

Each evening you are invited to join your hosts and other guests for complimentary drinks and canapés around the fire in the winter or in the late afternoon sun on the spacious decks in summer. Selections change daily and are matched with iconic New Zealand wines.

Taupo offers a wide choice of wonderful dining options only a fee minute drive from the lodge.

Complimentary in-room bottle of carefully selected New Zealand wine, specialty teas and gourmet coffee; Complimentary WIFI throughout the lodge; Pre-dinner canapes and drink. As a guideline, guests meet on the deck or in front of the fire for complimentary pre-dinner drinks and canapés before heading out to one of the many restaurants in Taupo only a few minutes drive from the lodge.

We would be happy to recommend or suggest some of the many dining options in Taupo. Taupo serves up a fine array of brasseries, cafes and restaurants and we're happy to make arrangements on your behalf.

Your breakfasts and canapes will be produced using New Zealand's finest and freshest produce selected on a daily basis.In the evening you will be able to enjoy a selection of fine wines to have with canapes that have been produced with passion by your hosts providing you with a little something special to savour.

Terms and conditions

All menu options are provided based on the availability of products at the time the request is made. if products are not in season or stock, they may not be available, and we have the right to change the menu.
Reservation needs to be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance to allow the purchase of products and allow for suitable preparation time.
Dinner time is a set time. Pre-dinner drinks and canapes at 6:00 pm; Dinner starts to be served at 7:00 pm.
There is a surcharge of 15% on Easter holidays, Christmas, and New Year's.
Dinner is not combined with the discount deal. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for each booking.
Cancellation is 24 hours free cancellation. Within 24 hours, 100% cancellation fees.
